Diversion Safes - Guardians of Your Valuables

By Court

Diversion Safes come in many different sizes and shapes -- usually in the form of cans but you also will find Diversion Safes Candles, Books, Thermal Coffee Mugs, Flower Pots, Electrical Outlets and even Pillows. You simply place your valuables in the hollowed out areas of the Diversion Safe and then just put it where it normally would belong.

Diversion safes or hidden safes as they are sometimes called are very simple but equally as effective. They are personal safes that appear to be something else to the naked eye (i.e. Soda can, wall clock, paint can, flower pot,). Most diversion or hidden safes work in similar ways; you put the item or items inside of the safe that you would like to keep private, close the safe and put it in a discreet location so that if someone sees your safe, they would not even know it!

What exactly is a Diversion Safe? Many people (and maybe you're one of them) have never heard the term but they probably have heard of Can Safes, Hidden Safes or Decoy Safes. Let me explain. Diversion Safes are made from genuine, every day products usually seen in the home or garage, e.g. Ajax Cleanser, 7 Up Soda, Suave Hair Spray and many more. These products are hollowed out and most are weighted to feel full and they are given a seamless screw-off top or bottom. You can't tell the Diversion Safe from the real McCoy! They even have bar codes for more authenticity.

You must consider the size of the diversion safe when you are shopping. I would recommend that you measure whatever you would like to hide before purchasing a hide-a-safe so that you will not be in for any surprises when you receive your product. Also remember to buy a diversion safe that will blend in with the environment that you will be placing it.

Allot of people still hide items in the drop ceilings or behind the freezer, thinking no one will find it, but that is not the case. If your still hiding in the same old hiding places think again. Criminals know where to go.
