Cycling to Growing Taller

By Rodney Williams

The bicycle has been around for over a century and today there are literally millions of people who use it as their main form of exercise and recreation. Riding a bicycle is highly recommended by doctors both as a way to lose weight and to tone your body. Bicycles are an overall excellent way to stay fit and a fantastic way to stimulate your body to grow.

If you are working to grow taller, then it is important that you exercise regularly. Exercise helps your body grow because it triggers the release of the Human Growth Hormone, or HGH, that makes your bones and tissue lengthen. Exercise increases your metabolism, helping you to lose weight that normally hurts your posture and makes you appear shorter. The natural stretching of the muscles that occurs during exercise helps support your body as it grows. Also, it makes your sleep more effective, and promotes mental health.

There is probably not an exercise more effective at increasing height than the bicycle. Bicycling helps your body in many ways. It is a very aerobic exercise and it strengthens your entire cardiovascular system. This means that the HGH and nutrients in your system can circulate more freely. Also, this kind of aerobic exercise tones your muscles. This includes your legs and back which need this strength during critical periods of growth.

Bicycles are a superior form of exercise because they give you the potential to actually gain height while you ride. Pushing a pedal makes you extend your leg and stretch your body. Stretching is important because it gets your muscles in peak condition to use the HGH in your system. While this process happens naturally when riding a bike, here are a few things you can do to capitalize on your activity.

Before you begin your ride, make sure your handlebars are high enough so that you ride in an upright position with your feet flat on the pedals. There have been studies comparing the relationship between the height of your handle bars and your bodys ability to gain height. Two groups with similar nutrition and fitness were compared. The shorter group rode their bike in a racing position that required them to be bent over the low handlebars. The taller group rode their bike in an erect position with higher handlebars. Posture plays an important role in growth and it is important that you keep good posture on your bike.

After you raise your handlebars, raise your seat to a position that makes your leg fully extend with you pedal. Your feet must stay flat on the pedal and your back in an upright position. Keep riding in this position until your body is very comfortable. Then, raise your seat height one quarter of an inch so that your legs must extend further. Continue to ride with your foot flat on the pedal and with your back upright.

Every time you can comfortable pedal with your foot flat you should raise the seat again. This continues to train your legs to stretch as they reach for the pedal. You will be able to raise the seat and still keep your feet flat because your legs have grown. You will be able to see proof that you have gained height, which also helps improve your mental health.

Having proof that you have had a height gain will give you a more positive attitude to continue your efforts. Exercise typically improves mental health and seeing these great results may just be the inspiration your body needs to grow more. Believing that you have the ability to be taller is just as important as getting exercise and eating right.

Since its invention in the nineteenth century, the bicycle has become the preferred form of exercise for millions of people. Whether you are riding down a path or stationary in a gym, a bicycle is proven to make your body taller and healthier. Also, the stretching and strengthening that occurs when you ride a bike gives you the mental boost you need to grow. A few simple changes to your regiment and some quality time on your bike may be all that you need to achieve your height goals.

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

St. Patricks Day is a festival being celebrated annually by countries around the world. What better way to celebrate this festive event by making St. Patricks Day commemorative crafts. This article is written to provide you with information on how to make a St. Patricks Day craft, specifically Shamrock pins . You may sell these items on St. Patricks Day itself or give it away as gifts or fun memorabilia.

The Shamrock is Irelands national symbol. It is a three-leafed clover and is commonly know to produce good luck. An Irish legend states that when you found a shamrock, good luck and good things will come your way. Shamrock is an anglicized word from the Irish term seamrg .

To make a shamrock pin you must first gather the materials. You will need a green chenille stem, 3 wooden heart shapes (those used for scrap booking is advisable), green acrylic paint, glue, safety pin and glitter. Cut a 3 inch long chenille stem and glue it at the center of a wooden heart. Paste the two remaining hearts at both sides of the center heart with the stem. Paint the hearts with the green acrylic paint and let it dry. When dried, coat with a thin transparent glue and set with glitters. Set the safety pin at the back.

I'm going to give you an interesting tidbit about shamrock: did you know that the four-leafed clover is often mistaken as the shamrock symbol? The four-leafed clover is primarily the Irish symbol for good luck while the three-leafed clover (shamrock) is a Christian symbol for the Holy Trinity. However, nowadays a shamrock is also considered as a symbol for good luck.

Pin your shamrock pin on your favorite St. Patricks Day t-shirt. Attend the St. Patricks Day Festival in Irish fashion. Dont forget to wish everyone good luck as you pass your unique creation around.

Understanding Bad Breath and How to Avoid It

By Bobbie McKee

It would really be embarrassing to be told by someone that you have bad breath. That's why we make sure that we always have proper oral hygiene. This way, we can be sure that we will always have fresher breath and mouth taste. But, you know what? Even if we always have fresh breath, there is still a chance that you may experience having bad breath.

But, there's no need for you to panic. As long as you know what to do, you can always have your fresh breath back. Here is where the importance of understanding the problem comes in. This goes to say that if you really want to be free from bad breath problems, you should first try to debunk the myths surrounding it.

So what really is bad breath? Also known as halitosis, bad breath is the breath with an unpleasant odor. And depending on the cause, you may have bad breath only from time to time or it can be your long-lasting dilemma. Now, you might wonder might be causing this unpleasant odor. Well, you're maybe unaware but there are lots of bacteria living in our mouth. They are mostly under the tongue. And these bacteria are the most common causes of bad breath. There are other causes of bad breath, they are the following:

Mouth infections - when you have gum disease or periodontal disease, there is a high risk that you'll have bad breath

Poor hygiene - if you're not brushing your teeth properly, you will surely have bad breath; plaque will most likely to build up around your teeth which can cause bad breath

Dry mouth - saliva is important in washing away the foods we eat and if there is not enough saliva, the foods we eat will stick in our tongue and the inside of the cheeks; thus, causing a foul odor

Infections in the respiratory tract - infections in the lung, throat and sinus problems are also causing our mouth to have a bad odor

Other bad odor causing agent - the foods that we eat are also among the factors why we have bad breath; like if we eat too much garlic and onions or drink too much coffee. Cigarette smoking and tobacco chewing is also a cause.

Now that you have more knowledge about bad breath and you also know its causes, the next thing that you should know is the ways on how you can prevent having bad breath. Here are some of the things that you can do;

Proper brushing - you have to brush your teeth properly in order to make sure that there are no bad breath causing bacteria left; you also need to brush your tongue and gums after each meal.

Flossing - according to dental experts, brushing alone is not enough; you need to floss everyday to make sure there are no food particles and plaque left between the teeth.

Mouthwash - after eating, it would help a lot to rinse with a mouthwash approved by your dentist.

Have a regular trip to your dentist - it is recommended that you visit your dentist at least two times a year; regular cleaning and dental examination is important.

Aside from the above mentioned ways to prevent bad breath, drinking plenty of water is also a proven solution for combating bad breath. Water is a great way to loosen the foods sticking inside your mouth as well as to make your body produce more saliva.

6 Reasons Why Companies Spend Millions To Hire Management Consultants

By Management Consulted

Consultants can have a negative reputation - charging $2 million for 12 weeks work that results in stacks of PowerPoint slides, all of which are archived into a dusty closet (digital or otherwise) soon after McKBain Group leaves the premises.

Below, Ill paint a positive (and more realistic) view on the 6 reasons why companies hire business consultants. After reading, youll have a better view on management consulting as a future career.

1) Staff augmentation - self-explanatory. Companies often have short-term staffing needs (in the case of government work, this can extend for a long time) due to a variety of factors (eg, employee downsizings, sudden expansion). While expensive, its common for operational consultancies (eg, Deloitte and Accenture) and, to a lesser extent, for public-sector consultancies (eg, Booz Allen)

2) External change force aka political cover. It can be hard for companies to do whats right (sacred cows and all that jazz) " especially when it comes to job layoffs, reductions in benefits, major operational shifts. Hiring management consultants can be a way to reach the desired conclusions with political cover in case key parties are unhappy (eg, disgruntled employees or a displeased Board) or things go awry (Despite the major cost increase, we implemented Mercers recommendations " theres little that what we could have done better)

3) Best practices across functions and sectors - consultants have the experience of:

a) Serving multiple clients in the same sector (eg, Consumer Software, Automotive) b) Serving multiple clients facing similar functional problems in different sectors (eg, North African expansion, East Asia outsourcing)

This enables them to recognize shared attributes of effective solutions and underlying causes, applying lessons learned across situations.

4) Analytical manpower

Similar to staff augmentation, companies often need help executing strategies where their capabilities and knowledge are lacking. Consultants can be of great value given their training and resources - another reason why consulting jobs are so hard to come by.

5) Fresh perspectives

Companies often need an external perspective - youd be impressed by the amount of value consultants can add based on seemingly obvious observations. Critics contend that this is an example of consultants selling glorified common sense, but for front-line workers, it can be easy to fall into daily routines and overlook mistakes and inefficiencies.

6) Skillset augmentation and training

Id argue that every consulting project - particularly ones with close client interaction - incorporates employee training as a primary ingredient. Big recommendations are worthless if clients dont implement and maintain suggested changes after Bain leaves. Thus, a central part of what business consultants do is to train client employees on necessary knowledge, capabilities, and mindsets.

These classes are improving such as to teach you more.

How to cool your car

By Cheryl L. True

If you have a new car, it helps if you know how to repair your vehicle. That way, if your car develops engine trouble on the road, you'll know what to do.

With a little knowledge, you can perform quick troubleshooting procedures when your car breaks down. That's cheaper than waiting for a mechanic or a tow truck to arrive. You don't have to spend a huge amount of money just to hire a professional for a simple job you can do yourself, such as adjusting a few loose screws or cooling an overheating radiator.

As a beginner in auto repair, you must realize the importance of owning a basic service tool kit. This usually contains wrenches, screws and a jack. If your car stalls on the road, you will need these tools to fix it. Tools make auto repairs easier because they allow you to get to hard-to-reach areas.

For instance, what can be done about overheating? This is one of the most common problems during the summer season. It happens when the temperature of the coolant exceeds the normal operating temperature range of the engine.

Overheating has many causes. Idling under hot weather for prolonged periods can wreak havoc on the car's cooling system, because the water pump doesn't turn fast enough. Thus, the coolant is not circulated as it should be. Sometimes a leak may cause the coolant level to drop, causing the radiator to overheat.

To cool your car, follow these tips:

Turn off the air-conditioner (AC). If the car is not seriously overheating, this will reduce the engine's temperature. The AC evaporator is located in front of the radiator, and it adds heat to the air going to your engine. The hotter the incoming air is, the less efficient the radiator will be.

Turn on your heater (set it on highest temperature setting with the blower on the highest setting). This will be uncomfortable for you, but it will cool the engine by transferring the heat to the air. Roll down the windows and remember how "hot" you'll get if your engine has to be replaced because of your ignorance.

If you're stuck in traffic, pull over and stop. Unless you're moving, very little cool air reaches the radiator. Open the hood and let the engine cool off. This takes time, so be patient. Use the time to go get a jug of water or antifreeze.

Check the overflow tank coolant level. If it's empty, the radiator is probably low on coolant.

Check the pressure of the system by wrapping a cloth around the upper radiator hose and squeezing it. If it's still under pressure (hot) it will not squeeze easily. Wait until it does.

If the coolant is low, start the engine and slowly add water or coolant to fill it up. The engine must be running. Adding coolant to a warm engine can crack the block. By running the engine, the coolant keeps moving and reduces the chances of this type of damage occurring.
